I like to receive your guest list 4 weeks before your event, that gives me enough time to mail out invitations, and get the R.S.V.P.'s. (6 weeks for out of town guests)
I send invitations out on Wednesday, they should arrive at your guests homes by Friday. Week days are so hectic that your guests may not have enough time to read your invitation during the week, and they may not respond.
